Choquequirao Inca Remains

Choquequirao Trek 3 days

The trek to Choquequirao is very challenging and rewarding, with dramatic views of the Andes of Perú and the Apurimac River canyon. It is possible to do this trek in 3 days if you are physically fit and an experienced trekker.  The 3 days trek is for people with a limited schedule,

and we highly suggest you stay a night before in Cachora so you can start the trek very early.  The 17 km/ 10.625 trek from the trailhead Capuliyoc to the Marampata hostel could be done in one day, then the second day we can explore Choquequirao, and finally the third day we trek back to Capuliyoc where  we wait  for you a drive to Cachora  to our guest house. On this trek you don't need to carry food or camping equipment because  we set up food and lodging  along the trail.

Wake up early in the morning at 5:30 AM with breakfast  at 6:00 AM.  After a good breakfast, we pack our stuff and embark on our adventure  to Choquequirao.     We will drive 30 minutes to Capuliyoc, the trail head,  where  we will begin the trek.  Capuliyoc  located at 11 km marker  where  you begin your adventure down the canyon with spectacular  views of the mountains and deep valleys. After 4 hours, you will arrive at Playa Rosalina where the group will have lunch and rest before hiking up to Marampata. After a good lunch around 1:00pm, we jump back on the trail again, this is the challenging  part of the day because  the rest  of the hike  is all uphill,  taking our time  we will get  to Santa Rosa in 2 hours on a slow pace. This is a great place to rest  and have a local drink like chicha or other refreshing drinks. After our break  we go back on the trail  to hike the last  2 hours, to our destination Marampata.
Here you have accommodation in our exclusive local hostel with a hot shower and good dinner.
